Robert - i'm going to move to a different host - i just paid for couple more years of hosting from you guys last month. how can we arrange a refund? I've been with you guys for many years but i've got in-house servers now.

The best option I have is to switch everyone to Optiquest. For now I have one plan created for Worldzone clients. It is $3/mth

Click Here to signup for the new plan | Note- During signup choose pay by check to get through the signup process. You pay nothing right now. See further down about billing.

For future reference, payments are manual at https://billing.optiquest.net and anytime you fill it out, you choose how much to pay. (at $3/mth we prefer 6 months minimum worth due to merchant/bank fees)

Just to note, this is a far more upgraded control panel than what you are used to. It is the same, but the WZ CP was about 10 versions older. I will make more plans, but for now signup for this one and I will make more and adjust things in a few days.

Once you have done these, you can call me at 281-364-0539 (may have to call you back because so busy) or email me at rrice•ocscorp.com and I will approve your account signup.

Once you have your account, you can upload files using ftp 208.91.214.27 and your login. If you DONT have your files, it's ok, I have them, but may be tomorrow before I can load that drive into the Optiquest system and load them into your account for you.

Keep in mind with a crashed system, I have no way to notify anyone because the contact database is down too. The best way to get everything resolved is for you to communicate with me, and keep communicating until we have your site totall back up on the new system as it was before.

EDIT: I had a previous (now removed) paragraph in this post about changing nameservers. The old WZ ones now point to Optiquest, so that change on your part is no longer needed.

I have a Family Site with WorldZone and prefer to contact you from my home. Because I work from 8am - 5pm, should I use the email address you gave or is it solely for those who sign up with Optiquest? I was wondering about refunds, access to any email that was in our account, and access to the file manager. The latter isn't as important because I have a backup of the site. Thanks

I've been emailing WZ clients who have signed up at Optiquest. My latest one was

The somewhat good news is I still have the previous backup drive, but the most recent backup on it is dated 08.29.2007. If you have more recent copies of your files, you can zip them up and either send to me (if not too big) or upload it to your account and I will drop your files into the proper place for you.

Again I apologize. I know that doesnt really make up for it, but there is simply no way for me to get the more recent backups.

I Can Receive Email But Smtp Is Not Accessible

for some reason ever since the crash , i have not been able to send mail from the mail.mydomain.com server (smtp) except on 2 of my email addresses. i copy the settings on the new email addresses just like the settings on the ones that are working and i get ("cannot connect to smtp server") and ("found outgoing mail server, but no response")


can someone help:?

Been having some trouble ftp-ing my files to my new account. I'm assuming this may be because a lot of people are doing so at the same time??? The problem I'm having is repeatedly being logged out.

I am feeling helpless - can someone summarize the situation please in few lines or a bulleted list! I have been so long with worldzone and I think I cleared all my payments very very recently also.
I have a subdomain like xxx.u21.worldzonepro.com - are all data gone? Will there be a backup, up at the same url sometime soon?

Kob_cc.... thats a stopgap domain, which was always a temp domain, never intended is a permanent domain. I can get you whatever.worldzonepro.com and restore your files to it, but you have to click THIS link and signup on the newer system before I can do anything for you. Please try to use your old WZ username if you remember it, makes it easier for me to restore files.
